About Dr. Giuliana Venables
Dr. Venables earned her medical degree from NYIT/NYCOM, the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to four years of medical school, she opted to study for a fifth year at NYCOM and earned an undergraduate osteopathic fellowship. Post-graduation, Dr. Venables completed a one-year internship at St. Francis Hospital in Delaware, followed by a two-year family practice residency at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. In 2004, she obtained her license to practice medicine in the state of New Hampshire. In 2006, she became licensed to practice medicine in the state of Washington, where she has resided ever since.
Dr. Venables first practiced medicine as a primary care doctor. Throughout her career, osteopathic manipulation has been a foundational component of her patient care plans and treatments. After a hiatus to raise her young family, Dr. Giuliana returned to medicine to specialize in osteopathic medicine and, in 2021, established her solo practice, Vibrant Osteopathy. Her expertise in both general and specialized medicine is instrumental in providing the most comprehensive care for each and every patient. As well, she will partner with your health care team to optimize your overall health.
Dr. Venables continually expands her knowledge to foster her professional growth and meet licensure requirements. Throughout her career, she has completed intensive continuing education courses in osteopathy, including specialized training in the cranial field. Cranial osteopathy is an integral part of her patient treatments.
It’s worth noting that Osteopathy in the Cranial Field differs from Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) in a key aspect: Cranial field training is exclusively available to medical doctors. CST, on the other hand, is taught to non-medical professionals.
Dr. Venables is by nature intuitive and “thinks with her hands” when treating patients. She listens intently and works with every patient (or parent if the patient is a child) to investigate other aspects in life that may be contributing to their ailments, such as posture, body mechanics, emotional stress, prior injuries or strains, environment, nutrition, supplements, and medications.
When Dr. Venables is away from her office, she loves spending quality time with her two children who share in her sense of humor, love of nature, being with friends and family, or just being home together. She often can be found as the sun goes down, keeping up with her beloved, voluptuous flower garden. During the quiet hours after the kids are in bed, she loves making jewelry out of tiny glass beads and gemstones! What started as a hobby in her 20s organically evolved into a small jewelry business – Venables Jewelry. A few weekends out of the year, you will find her at local festivals and artisan markets.
